Fruit & Yogurt Parfait

Calcium rich yogurt and vitamin C packed fruits combine into an easy to assemble breakfast or snack option. You pick the flavor combinations you want to experience and can have a new flavor explosion with each parfait.

Here's the recipe, just use your imagination for flavor combinations:

Unsure of where to start? I've got you! Some of our household favorites are listed below, but please don't stop there. If you try it and find and amazing combination of flavors, please share in the comments section. We love to hear from you!

  • 1/2 cup frozen peaches paired with Nonfat Vanilla Greek Yogurt

  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberry, blackberry, and raspberries) paired with Nonfat Plain Greek Yogurt and topped with 1/4 cup high protein Nature Valley granola.

  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries paired with vanilla Greek yogurt and topped with 1/4 cup of banana slices and Bear Naked granola (banana nut or cinnamon are my recommendations for this one).

If you need some ideas for containers to use, feel free to check these options out.

The trick with these tasty treats, is that if you use frozen fruit, you can meal prep them on Sunday and they keep in the fridge, ready for grab and go breakfast or snack option for 2-3 days. Make sure that you are storing the granola separate, to add right before you enjoy otherwise the texture leaves a bit to be desired.

You can still make the fresh fruit options in advance but depending on the fruit you use, they are freshest if used within 1-2 days.

If you happen to be dairy sensitive or lactose intolerant, have no fear! You can still enjoy these tasty treats just lean into your preferred brand of dairy alternative yogurt. If you haven't explored Kite Hill Greek style yogurt, I highly recommend you check them out. Loaded with calcium and protein, it really fills you up.

If you want to go a step farther with the recipe you can even add about a tablespoon of a heart healthy fat to help satisfy you even more. A few examples to add are ground flax seed, chia seed, or hemp seed.

A bonus recipe idea would be 1/2 cup of sliced banana with 1 tbsp of peanut butter mixed into your Greek yogurt of choice and top with some dark chocolate chips.
