An at your own pace program for the basics of feeding kids ages 4 years and up. We partner with parents to take the guess work and stress out of fueling our kids.

If a certificate of completion is desired or needed, there is the option to "test" out of the program. By demonstrating understanding of the information provided, you will receive a certificate to be displayed or shared based on your needs.

Fueling Mood with Food
Designed to boost your mood—to leave you feeling more positive and energetic, with a greater sense of wellbeing. You’ll also feel less stressed and anxious, and more resilient to the ebbs and flows of life.
We’ll be focusing on three pillars to enhance your mood over the next three weeks; nutrition, mindfulness and movement.

The Greater Wichita YMCA is enrolling for our next series of hands-on (FREE) Cooking Matters For Parents classes!

What: Cooking Matters helps families learn to shop for and cook healthy meals on a budget. Includes hands-on cooking and free ingredients to try one of the recipes at home each week. Plus a grocery store tour with $10 gift card one week.

Eating Disorder Caregiver Support Group
Monthly group program walking through basic principles of eating disorders and strategies to support recovery in loved ones with guidance and support of trained specialists in eating disorders.
A registered dietitian and therapist will be on site and guiding the program.
We meet once per month, for 1 hour per session.
Currently filling schedule for 2nd Monday of every month from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, in person.

Food Peace: Intuitive Eating Support Group 2026
6 month program walking through basic principles of intuitive eating with a certified intuitive eating consultant and registered dietitian's support.
Providing the ability to enact real lifestyle changes and behavior change around your relationship with food.
1 hour per session.
Currently filling 2026 schedule for First Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5 pm, virtual.

Registration is open for the next Patient Readiness & Empowerment Cohort.
This cohort was built with two groups of families especially in mind: those who are still waiting for a spot to open up in an intensive feeding program, and those who have been discharged from care because their child hasn't made the progress everyone hoped for.
Both groups often feel stuck with nowhere to turn in the meantime, and this program is meant to be that place. That said, any parent or caregiver struggling with mealtimes is welcome — you don't need to fit either group to benefit from the cohort.
The cohort is a free, facilitated, small-group virtual program for parents and caregivers of children with feeding disorders and differences. Over four sessions with clear learning objectives, families work through lesson plans on advocating for their child, creating positive mealtimes at home, and connecting with community resources — all while building relationships with other parents who understand exactly what they're going through.
The next cohorts begin September 15th and 16th.
